Biography

Lynelle F. Callender, DNP, RN, PHN, INS, MPH, C., attended Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing with a Minor in Psychology and a Certification in Public Health Nursing. She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee where she earned a Master’s of Public Health Certificate in Public Health Leadership. She holds a Master’s in Nursing with an emphasis in Informatics from Walden University in Minnesota, Minneapolis. Currently, she is attending the Iva V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with a concentration in Administration with an emphasis in Education. Her expected completion date of the DNP program is May 2016. Currently, she coordinates NURS 375 Nursing Informatics and facilitates as co-faculty in NURS 420 Community Health Nursing, and NURS 460 Nursing Practicum. She has taught nursing since 2006 at Southern Adventist University and Georgia Highlands College prior to coming to Adventist University of Health Sciences. She is currently an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Golden Key International Honor Society, and the President of ADU’s Nursing Honor Society for school year 2015-2016.
