About

Professor Moghimi has had a 36 year clinical/management career in occupational therapy. She has worked in and managed rehabilitation personnel in a variety of clinical settings including mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, low vision and home health, both in Maryland and Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; a masters in Administrative Science from Johns Hopkins University and a ScD in Occupational Science from Towson University. She served on the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice as vice-chairperson and chairperson for eight years. She is currently an ACOTE surveyor. She has taught adjunct and part-time in occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs for the past 7 years. She has been a full-time faculty member for 4 years. Here at Adventist University her role is professor in the Masters of Occupational Therapy program, teaching Foundations, Health and Wellness, Mental Health, Community Practice, Leadership, Disease Conditions in OT, and Task Analysis. Her research interests include caregiving, mental health, and OT leadership.
