Dr. Litten earned a BA in English and secondary education from Columbia Union College in 1975. He taught three years grades 5-8. He earned a MA in Literature, with emphasis in Medieval and Renaissance literature and American Literature from the University of Maryland in 1980. Dr. Litten has taught writing, literature, and fine arts classes at Columbia Union College from 1980-1999. He also directed the Washington Experience program, English in Washington, co-directed the COOP department, and chaired English and Modern Languages department and the Education department. Dr. Litten earned a PhD in curriculum and instruction and rhetoric from the University of Maryland in 1989. He began teaching at ADU in 1999. He currently teaches literature and fine art classes.
