Dr. Anael Santos received his B.S. in Veterinary Medicine from Federal University of Uberlandia, Brazil (1999) and M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2005) in Nutrition and Biotechnology from North Carolina State University, North Carolina, USA. Between January 2006 and April 2007, Professor Anael Santos served as a Post-Doctoral, Research Associate in North Carolina State University, and worked with several research in the field of Nutrition, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology. He worked at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (Universidade Federal de Uberlândia), Brazil, as a Professor of Nutrition and Metabolism from 2009 to 2012. In May 2007, he joined as a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Department of Health and Biomedical Sciences of the Adventist University of Health Sciences, USA. He has received 4 internationally recognized awards for excellence in Research in the field of Nutrition. He is a member of 4 scientific societies, and a member of the Editorial Board for peer-review journals, including journals of Nutrition, Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences. He has published many articles in peer-review journals and international conferences. Taking advantage of his experience and enthusiasm, his goal is to work on Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, and Biotechnology and to contribute for the growth of these Sciences in a very positive way.
