Starving Student Guide: Finding Free Food

As the new Director of Student Life, I am coming to realize how much food plays a role in the lives of college students.

The struggle is real, but it doesn't have to be during our campus event days! I have heard that the best way to entice our students is with free food, hence, we love to feed our students! These are some of the events on campus where we offer free food:

1. Welcome Week

Welcome Week

This event takes place at the start of every new trimester for the first three days of class. Come eat lunch, mingle with classmates, staff, and faculty, and learn more about academic clubs and other school groups.

2. Pancake Feed

Pancake Breakfast

These take place at the end of every trimester during finals week. From Monday – Thursday, enjoy the most delicious pancakes you’ve eaten in your life. Forget IHOP, you’ll be anxiously awaiting your finals breakfast of champs term after term!

3. Picnic & Play

These happen once a month so students can come and enjoy lunch combined with the fun of playing games like cornhole or volleyball.

4. Prayer Breakfast

Come enjoy breakfast and prayer with us every Wednesday to get your day started right!

5. Break Free

This event happens once a month and includes a provided lunch. You can also enjoy praise music and listen to a great spiritual message.

6. Restore

These are a great way to end your school week! The eating commences starting at 7 pm every Friday followed by a great program that begins at 8 p.m.

8. Thanksgiving Meal

Thanksgiving meal

Participate in a service activity before celebrating the holiday and giving thanks with the rest of the faculty, staff, and students.

2017 Thanksgiving Meal: November 15, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

9. Spring Picnic

Spring picnic

Our annual spring tradition begins with a picnic lunch followed by picnic games and friendly competition among the various academic departments.

2018 Spring Picnic: March 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
