This course is a series of lectures and laboratory experiences aimed at an understanding of the physical principles of mechanics, heat, sound, light, electricity, and modern physics. The emphasis will be developing a conceptual understanding of the laws of nature through hands-on experiences, laboratory experiments, in addition to lectures and demonstrations. This course satisfies the requirement for various imaging programs, but does not satisfy the requirements for science majors. Lab required.
(MATH 120 or equivalent) with a minimum grade of C (2.00).
