This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry. Topics covered will include atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, states of matter, chemical kinetics, and acid-base equilibria, with an emphasis on the application of chemistry to everyday life. The course is designed for non-science majors, does not satisfy the requirement for a major or minor in chemistry, and cannot be used as a prerequisite for any other chemistry course.
