This course focuses on experiments to study the principles of inheritance in all living organisms and an investigation of gene structure and function. Topics will include classical (Mendelian), molecular, and non-Mendelian genetics and principles of genetic engineering. Three hours of lab each week. This course satisfies the requirement for a major or minor in biology. A lab fee will be assessed.
