This course is designed for health science majors, and does not meet the requirements for a major in biomedical sciences. It is therefore not to be considered as a prerequisite biology course for professional programs, including but not limited to, medical or dental school, physical therapy, physician's assistant, optometry, veterinary school, or graduate school in the biological sciences. In this course, the student will explore unifying biological concepts, such as cells, growth, reproduction, metabolism, cell division, ecosystem processes, and other fundamental life processes. Three hours of lecture each week.
