Nuclear Medicine Technology: FAQs

We hope to answer all your questions about the Nuclear Medicine Program, but if we miss something, contact us!

Q. Can I take Nuclear Medicine courses ahead of time?

A. No; students must adhere to the curriculum sequence outlined in our Academic Bulletin. General education courses may be finished ahead of time barring a conflict with the required Nuclear Medicine courses for the trimester.

Q. Can I choose when and where I perform my clinical education?

A. Students are strictly assigned to their clinical sites by the program faculty. We unfortunately cannot make special allowances according to a student's address, work schedule, or personal obligations. Students may have to drive considerable distances to reach their clinical sites.

Q. When do I have to have all my health records?

A. All required health records required must be submitted and uploaded to Immunitrax before beginning the program. Failure to do so may result in the inability to register for classes and progress in the program. Requirements such as CPR certification, TB screening, FIT testing, immunization records, and proof of health insurance must be submitted prior to the start of clinical education. It is the students’ responsibility to stay aware of annual renewal requirements.
