Diagnostic Medical Sonography: Curriculum

We mold critical thinkers and caring leaders who make a difference in peoples' lives.

A holistic education goes beyond the textbooks and arithmetic. Core and program-specific classes must prepare graduates for handling real-world situations with a human touch while upholding the highest professional standards.

Students enter our sonography program following completion of requisite requirements, then complete a full-time, two year, six semester track that blends in-depth sonography classes and weekly clinical education. As the curriculum progresses, so does the frequency of hands-on experiences in our sonography labs and at our numerous clinical sites. At the conclusion of those six semesters, students are eligible to receive an Associate of Science degree which enables them to take national certification examinations. Students can then seek employment, as a sonographer, while completing the remaining courses focusing on building leadership skills, all of which are available online to complete the Bachelor's degree.
